For homeowners with Sunnova, SunPower, or PosiGen solar leases

Is your solar company shortchanging you?

When your servicer went bankrupt, your production guarantee almost certainly survived — even though SunStrong, Sunrun, and Renewbrook aren't volunteering to pay it. We check your actual output against your lease's guarantee, for free, and draft the claim letter if you're owed money.

Most true-up periods show nothing owed — we tell you either way, for free. $99 only if we find real money on the table.

Servicers we cover

How it works

Four steps, most of it done for you.

Your guaranteed production, true-up rate, and interval — straight off your own lease or PPA.

04

We draft your claim letter

Servicer-specific, written in your own voice, ready for you to sign and send yourself.

Trust

We're not a collections agency.

GuaranteeCheck is a self-help tool. The claim letter it drafts is written in your own words, for you to sign and mail yourself — we never contact your servicer on your behalf, and we're never a party to your claim. You stay in control of the whole conversation.

BBB complaints
Multiple documented BBB complaints describe SunStrong Management refusing or ignoring homeowners' shortfall reimbursement requests, even when asked directly.

Not automatic
Sunrun's own agreement language says a shortfall refund should be issued automatically — but public complaint records show it often isn't, without a homeowner following up.

FAQ

Quick answers before you dig further

Does my guarantee survive the bankruptcy?

In the general case, yes — obligations were transferred to the current servicer through the bankruptcy sale process, not discharged. See the full answer on the FAQ page.

Is this a collections service?

No. GuaranteeCheck drafts a letter you send yourself, in your own name — we're never a party to your claim and never contact your servicer directly.

What if I don't have SolarEdge admin access?

Common for orphaned systems — the original installer often held the admin account. There's a manual-entry fallback so this doesn't block you.
